Robin's Background
Rev. Dr. Robin D. Stoops serves as Donor Advisor with the American Baptist Foundation, where he has the privilege of walking alongside individuals and congregations as they explore how their generosity can reflect their faith and support God’s work in the world. He brings nearly forty years of pastoral and denominational leadership experience within American Baptist Churches USA, including service as Associate General Secretary for Mission Resource Development and twelve years as Executive Minister of American Baptist Churches of Nebraska. He has also pastored congregations in South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
Robin is deeply committed to strengthening congregations and encouraging faithful stewardship. He holds degrees from Ottawa University, North American Baptist Seminary, and Northern Seminary, where he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Missional Leadership and Contextual Theology.
His ministry has taken him across the United States and internationally, particularly in support of Burmese pastors and diaspora communities. Known for his relational approach, thoughtful leadership, and engaging communication style, Robin values listening and building meaningful connections.
He and his wife, Kathy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and are grateful for their three children and eight grandchildren, who continue to remind them of the joy of faith, family, and shared purpose.
