Muriel's Background
Originally from New York City, Muriel studied photography, film, and communication design at The High School of Art & Design before earning her BFA in Graphic Design, with a minor in Women & Gender Studies, from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2012. Following graduation, she worked as an intern and freelancer with Dream It Ventures and the United Nations.
Muriel joined the American Baptist Foundation in July 2013 as a part-time intern and became a full-time team member that October. After six years as ABF’s Graphic Designer, she transitioned into the Marketing & Communications Manager role in 2020. In 2023, she earned her Certified Digital Marketing Professional credential through the Digital Marketing Institute.
With more than 12 years of dedicated service, Muriel now serves as Marketing Director (2026), leading brand strategy, digital growth, and communications efforts to advance ABF’s mission.
